Writing With Emotional Intelligence with Wayne Ng
We’ve all read works with rousing plots, imaginative worlds and robust themes, yet somehow, the main character comes out flat. While it may be an issue of craft, it may be difficult to write emotionally rich characters if we struggle to understand, manage and articulate our inner world. Wayne Ng, a registered social worker and novelist in Ottawa, will discuss what emotional deep dives can look like, intentionally situating our emotions and what they can do for our writing. This workshop will be 1.5 hours.
